Tried to install radio in 2002 ford explorer. Some wires touched and now won't start but all the lights still work and power door locks work. What did I mess up?

Did you cut the factory plug off and try hard wiring it? Check ALL the fuses in the fuseboxes under the hood and behind the dash.
Did you cut the factory plugs off when you installed the radio or did you use a wire harness adaptor? You might have a dead battery. Try jumping it with cables or a jump pack.
Does the starter engage when you turn the key or is there nothing with you turn the key. Check the net for a wiring diagram for the radio harness. You may have shorted out a relay. You are going to determine just each wire is on the connector. Could be something to do with the anti-theft system. .
