Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was hoping someone would say fuel filter.
Also when done pumping gas it sometimes
won’t start up for mins. It just spidder
Spudders and shuts off. I now just leave it
running while fueling in fear of the truck not
running afterwards. I was wondering if it’s
stirring up trash and possibly clogging flow
at times I’ve never encountered stuff like
this man. Should have bought a Chevy

Any vehicle nearly 25 years old is bound to have some issues. You're problem may be related to the EVAP system not equalizing the pressure in the tank. There's a solenoid to purge the EVAP canister along with a flow sensor. Since your problem crops up when fueling and eventually goes away until the next fueling, then I would look into the EVAP. Try ranger-forums.com for help. Don't leave a vehicle run when fueling either it's a fire hazard.

Evap purge solenoid is likely sticking open. This allows fuel vapors to get inside the engine when fueling causing starting issues.
