do i replace entire headlight switch or knob?

Asked by Schellie Jul 16, 2013 at 10:55 PM about the 1994 Ford Thunderbird LX RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the plastic housing encasing the metal clip on the shaft of switch cracked but clip stayed on. used vise grips to turn on and off for a while then the clip broke and came off and at the same time frame the dash lights no longer come on. then i got pulled over and told no lights in the back. so i have headlights but dash or tail lights, but brake and trurns work

So your turn signals, brake lights and head lights work but just no running lights in the back or dash lights?
