I have an 03 chevy truck, when I apply the brakes the 3rd light on the cab comes on but the other two will not. I have replaced the bulbs,fuses, brakelight switch, the multifunction switch & see no dammage to the harness. What else is there to do?

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado extended cab, 4.8 liter. I have had multiple issues with this vehicle, but the one I can't seem to solve is this: if I leave the truck sitting for a day, when I get in and start driving, about 5 miles down the road, it acts like it is being starved of fuel. The engine light starts blinking and there is no power even when i step on the gas fully. After a minute or two, it goes away and runs fine unless I let it sit for a couple days. I just replaced my fuel lines because they were rusted out but that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas anyone? 6 Answers
