89 Chevy Silverado 350 5.7

Asked by Olebluechevy Mar 27, 2018 at 05:48 PM about the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced alternator twice as well as the battery. I
replaced the starter as well because it was going
also. The brand new alternator went the day after
installing it. I changed it charged my battery and it
still goes down. It jumps when I idle. Not sure what
to do. Just had a mechanic replace my motor not
even 3 weeks ago.

Did you changed these parts in the engine that the mechanic replaced? If the original parts replaced were in the engine, I think they were about to go, they were used, like the engine. Why not take the car back to the mechanic and discuss the problem? Maybe something was not installed correctly, it happens. Did he give you a warranty on the work?
