94 Silverado no shift after 1st and 2nd

94 Silverado.  Ran good shifted good.   Then as I
was driving 3rd started goin out.   I stopped seen it
was low on fluid and put more in it.  Few more
miles I have no other gears but 1st and 2nd can
someone tell me what Happened

Ed92626. I'm stranded about an hour from my house is it ok to get it home in 1st and 2nd gear? And also my check engine light was on
