Popping sound when turning steering wheel. 03 monte carlo ss

Asked by MCMarc Jul 25, 2017 at 04:06 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My front end drivers side has a popping noise when I turn left or right in a parked position. I have recently changed out the axle, hub bearing, sway bar pin and outer tie rod end but I still hear the popping. Its not a constant noise just one pop each time I turn the steering wheel back and forth. Not sure where else to check. Thanks in advance.

control arm bushings ....rag joint ?

I have not had those checked but I will have my mechanic look at them thanks. Also I just remembered could this be caused by not greasing the tie rod end? I didn't have the whole joint assembly repaired just the end itself. I have not driven the car as the alignment is off from the repairs but the ends were never greased.
