A/C Is not blowing through the vents

Asked by Dale Jul 24, 2014 at 05:50 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Monte Carlo, and when I get in car and turn A/C on, There is not any air coming through the vents. You can hear the A/C kick in on the motor, and feel the cooler air trickling through the vents, but no air pressure pushing it through on any setting..Any suggestions to a guy without a clue?

Put it in the vent mode or heater mode and see if the vents have air coming through the vents. If so, it is the exchanger trap door that may be stuck. If no air is coming through, check the fuse on the blower motor.

In this hot summer weather, keep a spare fuse. If it keeps blowing the fuse, it just may be a lose or frayed wire shorting out, or a tired fan motor going bad. Stay cool my friend.
