Air blowing out of all vents at Sametime after replacing blower motor resistor

Asked by Mar 02, 2017 at 09:42 PM about the 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why is air vlowing out of all my vents at
Sametime after I replaced my blower
motor resistor

1 Answer

blower motor resistor can only affect blower motor speed. Air is directed to vents by one or more mode doors. Either those actuators are bad (unlikely) or your selector switch is sending spurious voltages to them.
