Asked by Nate1776 Aug 04, 2016 at 04:05 PM about the 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the water pump, thermostat, and
radiator, but the car is still getting hot. It says
the coolant is too hot, but when I go under the
hood, the engines cool but the hoses are hot
and full of pressure. I have no clue

Are you seeing steam and signs of losing coolant. If not have you tried replacing the temperature sensor.

No steam, no loss, just heat. I figure there thermostat MaY be stuck closed again, but it's only a month old. I'll try the temp sensor, I'm also gunna try burping it again and see if that will fix it. This car has been nothing but trouble
