I have a 2001 chevy monte carlo thats equipt with a alarm system.. my heat wrks but as soon as I apply the brakes it shuts off.. im sure its a electrical issue.. any solutions?

Yea its a after market alarm.. car shuts off as intended.. the ac and heater turn on by the alarm remote and then soon as I apply the brakes the heat will shut off..! Really weird but its cold now and I need this fixed ya kno..

Ok, its an anti theft option on your remote starter. Try it again but this time put the key in the ignition turn it to the run position BEFORE you touch the brake pedal. You should be good to go. If that doesn't work its not wired correctly.

I was thinking it was wired wrong as well thanks.. I also have another issue.. my dash indicates low coolant but when I go to fill the radiator the fluid pushes back out as if its full already.. the car doesn't run hot but Ive noticed the heat not getting as hot now..?

I've removed A LOT of aftermarket remote starters because of how poorly the where installed. As far as the low coolant, look in the overflow bucket. If its low you probably have a leaking intake gasket. Very common problem.
