1998 Chevy lumina Blinker/hazards completely don't work

Asked by Zack Aug 07, 2018 at 12:49 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Blinker/hazards completely don't work inside or
outside of vehicle. Fuses are fine, I haven't found a
relay for them, but found a combination flasher
module. Is there a way to test the flasher?

This is for lumina. Did you check for voltage at the fuses? Use a test light, the fuse for flasher is hot all the time. The fuse for turn signal goes hot with the key on. Under the dash, find wiring harness going into steering column, see the purple wire, hopefully only one, use a test light on that wire, key on, turn signal lever on, if it flashes, the flasher is ok. The lite blue wire is voltage feed to flasher. The black wire is ground. The problem could be one of several. I can only help with testing.
