Unibody?

Asked by GuruLMN9Z Apr 30, 2019 at 12:07 AM about the 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS FWD

Question type: General

Omgosh! Just trying to ask Google if my 1998
Monte Carlo is a unibody. I'm either stupid or
Google has no record of my newly inherited sweet
looking car that needs some repair.

Not sure how to use this site, but think u just told me I have a unibody? If so when we did the brakes my husband sowed me how easily he could put a screwdriver thru what I thought was the frame. It's a beautiful car! It still smells like leather when u get in it and my Dad actually clay bar waxed it all the time. It has 111,000 miles on it. I would love to keep driving it, but am worried that I won't be able to get it repaired without spending a lot. I'm not expecting a warranty on the repair, but seems like body shops will only do new car collision insurance repairs. Any thoughts on how I can fix it and feel confident to drive it like it I want to?

Ok. Thank you! Where can I look to find someone/place to weld/fix it? Any ideas? Costly, yo think?
