Asked by Tim Jun 01, 2008 at 11:51 AM about the 1994 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab 4WD SB

had voltage problems so i changed the altenator. but now the volt meter goes up but bounces around and thats if im lucky enough to get it to start. what else could be the problem? even tried a different battery

try replacing the battery cables they could have corroded around the bettery
