Crackle sound

I have a crackle sound/clicking sound
coming from driver side dashboard near the
windshield, it happens at all speeds fast and
slow. It happens when air or heat is on and
when it's off. Does anyone know what this
can be?

could be debris caught in the fresh air grill under the hood by base of windshield.
