Do you need to have a serpentine belt to start a
1994 Ford Mustang V6 3.8 Coupe?

The serpentine belt runs the power steering, A/C, water pump etc. You should be able to start the engine but that is all. DO NOT continue to run it without the water pump or you could blow a head gasket or worse.
