3.8 motor swap

I have a 1994 with a 3.8,will a 3.8 from a 2001 go in without a problem? Will I
have to change anything?

There will be issues. For one thing these engines use different operating systems. OBD1 vs OBD2.

I'm very new to this. Is there something that can be done? Adapter harness or something to that matter

You would need the complete engine wiring, ECU and smog system to go with the newer engine. Maybe you could convert it to the old spec, maybe not.
