2006 Avalon Limited 31K miles?

Asked by adguy Sep 23, 2010 at 07:13 PM about the 2006 Toyota Avalon Limited

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I'm wondering if this is a good deal.
It has everything and they want $18,900.
It has more miles than I wanted, but it's in perfect condition and has all kinds of
high tech features like keyless everything.
I think the 17-inch wheels make it ride rougher than the XLS.
What do you think?

Hey there, Well believe it or not from a dealership a normal retail price on an excellent 2006 Avalon Limited would sell for $22,695 blue book value, and if it was by a private owner, blue book value would be $19,795. So if it is by a dealership, you probably can get down to make $18,000, but if it is by a private seller, you could probably get it for $17,000 possibly. Toyota's hold their value farily well, so even though it is almost 5 years old and 31k is not a lot of miles for the year at all, and don't forget, this car new was roughly $35,000. So to get it for around half of the price only 4 years later and with only 31,000 miles, I say yes that is a pretty good deal. Good luck!

Anthony thank you. I went down there today an bought it. I got it for $18,900. I appreciate your input. I feel better about the deal.

So basically according to what you just told me, you paid the asking price of $18,900. You could have haggled them down on the price a bit, nobody ever pays the asking price, but it's too late now. Glad to hear you purchased it, and you sound that you are happy with the purchase. You didn't make a mistake by choosing a Toyota, even if you keep it for a year and try to re-sell it you can just about almost make your money back for what you just bought it for. Take care and enjoy your like new Avalon sedan.

No, they were asking about $22K and came down to $18,900. I have to say this car is so very clean. Thanks again.

still to much,$13.500.00,would be a good price,I would not pay no more than that for it,rember it is almost 5 years old.still have them do a car fax on it for you.
