Is a 2016 Toyota Avalon with 110,000k reliable

Asked by Oscar Feb 15, 2020 at 05:06 PM about the 2016 Toyota Avalon Limited

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

So I'm in the market for a new Avalon, well new to me
anyways. I'm also trying to keep it under 15k out the door
max 16k. I've found a few and I am conflicted currently my
best contender is a 2013 Avalon with 61k miles dealer
wants $16297 out the door which is pushing it for me.  But
I just came across a 2016 Toyota Avalon Limited with
110,000 miles for 15300 out the door. The car has a clean
carfax with one owner. It has damage reported but no
accident. Anyone have any idea how reliable they are. I'm
really leaning towards it but wanted to get opinions. Will
take it out for a test drive hopefully Monday.

Without knowing all the particulars I would go with the lower mile car. For one thousand dollars more you are getting a car with 50,000 fewer miles. Negotiate a lower price for the one you want.

Also consider your annual miles and the loan term. If you drive a lot you should not buy a high mile car as it may fail before the loan is paid off.

I wouldn't buy a car with damage on the carfax if you plan to trade it soon, only if you plan on driving it a long time.
