I replaced my quad with dual Edlebrock carbs. The Edlebrock carb is easy to replace, tune, even though it comes ready to run, and does not have the issues the original quads had. You can call the help line for E, and they can recommend the correct carb for what you want or need. After 14 years, I exchanged the carb for a dual EFI system. The intake, make sure your clearance is such that it will fit under the existing hood. I had to use flat nuts instead of the wing nuts for the carb cover bolts. It was that close.

Here is the dual EFI throttle body set up I put on. Instant start. A lot of work but it's worth it. Edelbrock and Holly has a single one that works wonders also.
