1974 Corvette throttle cable?

Is there any easier way to change this. Mine is original and hell if I can even get my head up under the pedal to disconnect from the bottom. :)

Is it broken? If not, just spray lube from the engine side into the casing.

Well this is the throttle cable assembly as new, my old one is sticking, but I did not think of trying to lube my old one. Thanks

Yes, definitely try to lube your old one first.
