Should I be concerned about purchasing a 1971 corvette with 86,000 miles on original engine?

Engine has been professionally rebuilt and has 5,000 miles on it since rebuild.

Your only concern should be the price you pay. Low milage, engine rebuild? Why was it rebuilt? Poor maintenance or upkeep? Check the breaks. It may have higher milage that 86K, or show it was drive hard. Old cars are like some wives, cost money to take them out for a spin. Under $ 23,500 is a good investment. The older C-3s are going up in price. Even if you drop another 10 grand to tune it up, into it, it would be a good purchase.
