Your car was made in St. Lewis and Corvette operations are now in KY. I'm not sure, but I remember something about the production records being destroyed in a flood, fire or lost. There were a number of 1968 Corvettes made, and if yours was 1445 in the production run, I venture to say not too many were put together before yours. 2898 427 Corvettes were produced out of the 25,000 total 1968 Corvettes sold.

And if there were not many made, even fewer are still on the road I'll bet. The first of the C3s suffered from very poor quality control and assembly problems that took a few years to iron out and if you have a nice one, and it sounds like you have some great options, it may be rarer than you think.
