85 Camaro Z28 starter

Recently bought 1985 Z28 Camaro it's been swapped to a
350 out of a '70s model C10 truck and I'm having starter
problems the manifolds are in the way what should I do

You can change the exhaust manifolds to match the engine. That should work. Or put headers on it. Hope that helps! Jim

I’ve seen this before, you have to unbolt the exhaust manifold and take loose all the exhaust hangers to gain enough clearance to get to the starter. As stated above headers would be the best way to go. Don’t forget the heat shield. If it doesn’t have one get one.

Are these stock manifolds ? Truck motors are built/designed differently from a car motor for the type of performance , You may have to find stock truck manifolds ( that won't fit in the engine bay ) or something that will . Hope you didn't pay too much for it . Starters don't like to get hot you may have to buy high end parts .
