iroc convertibles

Asked by pwee Aug 06, 2007 at 07:40 AM about the 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z Convertible RWD

Question type: General

i know they say there were 1007 camaro convertibles made in 1987. I just bought a iroc convertible with only 54000 miles, it looks almost like new. My question is how many of those convertibles were actually irocs?

Being that the convertible conversion on these vehicles was an aftermarket job by American Sunroof Company, your best bet may be to contact their historical department directly. They should have record of how many Iroc vs. Sport Coupe conversions were done. In the meantime, here are some sites regarding the IROC convertibles which you may find of interest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third-generation_Chevrolet_Camaro#1987 http://www.iroc-zpostforum.com/IROCHISTORY.htm
