How's the motor? If I were to stick a nose up the tailpipe, what may I smell? burned gasoline, or some other treats like coolant, oil or carbon- rich? How's the interior? how many beers were spilled in the footwell? Are there any rips or tears in the upholstry? are the tires bald? when was your last smog check?

has it had an overheat as evidenced by what looks like an explosion on the other side of the hood? Has the water pump been changed recently? the belts? the transmission been serviced at all? is the tranny fluid black, or smells burned? If it seems to have been owned by a non-smoker, a woman, someone who cares rather than someone who peels burnouts, and generally abuses the machine, the smell of beer and puke stick around and are hard to remove.

Up to date on everything . I have dates under the hood marked wat has been done to the car!

I'd ask $3500.00 based on the low miles and trusting your description of "perfect" maintenance~ $4500.00 if it really does seem perfect, like no tears or imperfections everything works including the rear cigarette lighter (if equipped)~

The value depends on the condition and the location. Put a high selling price on it and see if any one is interested. Check out eBay and see what similar cars are selling for.

Like Judge Roy said...take a better pic, preferably a daytime pic with a decent megapixel camera phone or camera. I remember the '87 Camaro IROC-Z's and notice 2 things right away missing from yours: The OEM wheels (yours are aftermarket) and the IROC-Z large emblem on the door. You didn't say, but I'm assuming you have the 8 cylinder and not the 6 (I think you could get the "Z" either way back then..I could be wrong though). Also, If you have the 8 cylinder, there are 3 engine variants: 170 HP, 190 HP, and 225 HP (Which one do you have??) Check this link out from Hagerty.com on the value of the '87 IROC-Z (it does state deduct 30% for V6 and add 10% for T-Tops)..click the model you have for more info: http://www.hagerty.com/price-guide/1987-Chevrolet-Camaro Also, here's what I recall the '87 IROC-Z in excellent condition to look like..this particular one sold for $7,299 with 129,866 miles on her (see pic below).

$9,000 top of the line in pristine condition, $4500 for coupe with small v-8 in running condition. Is it an IROC? coupe or convertible? High end HP or stock motor? Body rust free and never been in an accident? Mileage, and transmission type? All are between 9K and 4K
