No the truck motor is usually different internal. GM makes over a million engine blocks and if they make them all the same, saves them super tons of money. There has never to my knowledge been any issues of putting in a truck motor of the same CI into a car using the same size motor. The truck is built for low end power and torque so the mileage is not as great, and the car is a mid to high range power curve, where most engines operate in cars, so gas mileage is higher, but you lose power in the low end. Building the engine to operate with power at both ends will cause a sacrifice of something, usually high end power range, but if your not racing it does not matter. Gas mileage also may slip a bit. Bolt it up or change it out for a car motor. Have fun and enjoy. Get headers built for your year, make and model car also.
