Speedometer

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Speedometer will quit working for awhile
then work again. Use to work again right
away after restarting the car. Now it is
sporadic and restarting the car doesn't
work. I now that it more than likely is an
electrical issue as about the same time my
taillights quit working ,but the break lights
still work.

Also the speedometer would only quit working if I idled for to long in one place.

Sounds like your speed sensor is going out - pretty inexpensive repair
