Holden colorado sensor issue?

So I have a Holden 2012 Holden colorado, basically when
it rains while I'm driving the reverse lights come on and the
'R' is displayed on my dash constantly beeping.

Gene answered about a year ago

Gear selector switch cracked allowing contamination into it, gear selector wiring unshielded and exposed wiring, causing low voltage cross connections.
