Asked by Jordan Dec 27, 2018 at 10:17 AM

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

If you sell to someone out of state and shipping it, what are things to keep in
mind?
* How do you accept payment?
* How long do you wait for payment to clear?
* I assume that transferring title is easy (just fill out the back )?
* When do you send the title?
* When do you send the car?
* How do you send the title?
* Do you send the title with the car?

thanks in advance!

sounds like someone is trying to scam you..Get paid in cash, then its up to them to ship it

No scam, I'm just trying to figure out the order... I know better than taking a check (or even a cashier check). Assuming I am securely paid, I sign the title over. The buyer may not be in town when I get the funds; do I overnight the title before the car ships? Does the shipping company need a title?

I am wondering this as well! Did you ever find an answer? I am in to sell and collect payment through cargurus secured method. But what about the title and shipping the car etc? Thanks!
