Ford moter swap

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can I put a inline 6 in my 98 f150, it's got
the 4.6 triton now. Would I be disappointed
I did it? I found a good price on one.
Unfortunaly I blew my moter a few weeks
ago and haven't found a 4.6 I can afforded
this is my family vehicle and way to work
so I need it back on the road asap

Your truck would never be smog legal. The 300-6 was never installed in an OBD-2 vehicle to my knowledge.

ASAP is the key phrase. You need to install the exact correct engine to get your truck back on the road. A conversion of any kind could take weeks or even months to sort out.
