Do research on car values and make an offer. Always offer less than the asking price.

End of the month. Also, Christmas Eve 2 hours before close and haggle...they will give yo a good deal so they can go home to be with family for Christmas. I have had several friends do this, it works. End of the month because this will get them to meet or surpass their quotas by the manufacturer so they get their dealer bonuses.
