What is a good hatchback to buy??

Hello, Looking to buy a vehicle for myself... this will be my first vehicle. Im looking for a
hatchback and have been looking at many different kinds and years.. not sure what one is
best all round. I want something thats not super slow, thats decent on gas, good for long
drives and driving cross country. Need something that will be decent all year round.. even
during winter. I found a 2011 Mazda2 yozora edition... for 10 grand. And a few others like
the chevy spark, or toyota matrix. What would you recommend as a good vehicle??
