Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ran fine to its resting place where I
shut it off, but left the radio on for a
minute until I smelled electrical like
smoke. Saw a very faint trace of smoke
coming from top of engine cover or
under dash, not sure. I immediately
shut off the ignition and unplug my
phone charger. Couldn't locate the
problem so I tried to start it and it
cranked fine but it would not fire up.
Not even a fart, nothing. Any takers on
this?

ford right ? listen for the fuel pump to prime the system when you hit the key , check for spark and fusible links , fuses under the hood , black or toasty wires

Yes Ford Econoline. Got it narrowed down to no spark. But still cannot find any burnt wiring.

Okay, to those following this, the engine computer burned up. The shop did a complete Diagnostic and could not find any other problems. They attributed it to old age. Final bill estimated to be about $500.
