Ej25 motor

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 05 wrx ej205and the motor blew up. I also have a
short block for a 07 legacy ej25. I'm wondering if I can put
turbo internals inside the legacy block along with new
crank and my wrx heads on the legacy block. Could the
block hold that? Not sure if the legacy and sti blocks are
the same considering they are both 2.5

I am pretty sure the turbo engines had a beefier block with semi- enclosed decks rather than the open decks of the non-turbo engines. I would carefully compare the blocks and do research before using a standard EJ block.
