2011 Silverado

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a strange problem with my 2011 Silverado. I
know for a fact it's been in an accedent due to the
car fax. But this is the strange thing that happens.
Every so often when I'm driving the truck will start
stalling and the dash board will say that I'm going
into park and then drive. Like I'm I'm putting into
park while I'm going 50 mph. It flickers back and
forth from D to P and the power locks lock and
unlock with it. Then when I pull in somewhere to
and park the truck will not turn back on. It looses all
power. But I can go out and just move the negative
cable and the power is restored. Can anyone help
me?

May sure you have a good contact on both the positive and negative cable, I would add another body ground on the negative cable to the body this should help...

I have cleaned the terminals and made sure that they are connected. Does it seem that I have two different problems?

Check the battery connection at the starter. On many GM vehicles some electrical power feeds to the system from this connection and problems will occur if it is not clean and tight.
