.... Caterham 7: R500... 263 bhp....~1200 pounds.... Red line over 8.5k.... Need I say more?

185

Pontiac solstice GXP 0-06 times just shy of a corvette from the factory and 28 mpg. not to mention it looks pretty cool to

395

Caterham = win Peugeot 106 Rallye, Lotus Exige, Ariel Atom etc...

15

Cuz I drive one too... gotta pick the 08 Civic Si's 2.0L DOHC VTEC... 197hp out of a naturally aspirated 4 cyl with an 8200 rpm redline.... and that crazy boost of power at the VTEC switchover @ 5800 rpm... sick machine

15

yeah man this is my baby, but dude can't compare to your type r that looks siiickk i didnt even see the full pic at first its crazy, good job wit that man.....

255

Ford's RS200, a bit of a shame it was very limited production. Exige and Atom, I would agree with both. Then EVO's and STI's. three bangers though.. Mazda Autozam, Suzuki Cappuccino

15

Depends on if youre talking about the U.S. model or not. the U.S. model Atom uses a GM ECOTEC motor, while the non-U.S. spec ones use an integra type-r motor. However, they have been able to get better track times with more usable power from the ECOTEC motor. Sorry to burst your bubble.

16,755

Thanks mate... I'd forgotten that they had multiple maker engine options... A quick look at their site seems to show the base engine is a 245 hp 2.0L Honda and they don't specifiy but the upgrade is a 300 hp supercharge option, which I'm assuming is the Ecotec since the small picture they show seems to be an Ecotec...

200

its ok, im just gonna go cry now.jk thankx. i only knew of the type r motor. the the gm one. thanx

yo Ricky just thought i throw this outt here. ur ides lookin hot man, im liking those electric green rims on there too, really makes them stand out I'de also have to agree with the Civic SI. those new ones look HOT, and perform pretty decently.

1,165

Old one was a s'charged honda though. New one has a bit more torque though, i think

1,165

I like the smart brabus. 93 HP from a three banger in a car that small is pretty impressive

The best n/a in my opinion is the Mk. I S2000 with the F20C. That's 240hp out of a two litre engine at a whopping 9,000 rpm. That's what I call an engine! Plus 50/50 weight distribution, solid brakes, short-throw six speed, and a tail-happy suspension make for a ride of your life! As for a turbo car (no good supercharged cars exist), it would have to be the lancer evo x. The drive-train is staggeringly good and looks exactly the way a B.A.M.F. japanese tuner should!

200

thanx dude. customed paint work emotions. she's a work in progress.

335

dude, definilty the camaro or the mustang shelby gt 500 for sure.

200

4 banger not a v6 or v8. we love the 4banger. camaro i agree wit for a v6. but not the crustang

335

actually mustang did develop a 4 banger and turbo as well as carbd.

15

From what I understand, all of the U.S.-spec ones come with the GM motor and the non-U.S. ones come with the Honda engine, regardless of what power output engine it is.

395

Screw a Camaro! Honda NSX, Noble M12 GTO, Lancia Stratos, MG metro 6R4...

95

in (my) opinion whats the point of having insane amounts of horsepower in a car if its not even all-wheel drive mitsubishi did an excellent job designing the 4g63 and their all-wheel drive system as early back as 1989 and it still shows today in the last generation evo 9

2,515

2008 Dodge 2.4L Turbo Also because it's what I drive, but 285 HP that's drastically detuned, and 265 ft lbs from 2,000 RPM to redline at almost 7,000 RPM is impressive. I miss my V8s...had to buy this car to save some money on gas haha.

200

hahaha. hey dude power + gas mileage= happy. hahahah. let me guess srt 4 calibre( cant spell for shit) my older bro just sold his neon srt4. he put down 413. 305 fbtq. put it lived at the track and he was expecting a baby. but sweet dude. thts some good power for a daily

200

awd is great, sick draction and all but its fun not hookin up at the track, jk ive broken tons of axles like tht. but its pretty fun lonchin my car at around 5500 and peelin out. but ive never really seen any of my friends do tht wit there cars, and most of em own evos. but it might be that they cant really drive

200

i argee wit the nsx. but maybe some time in the future ill get one when i open a few strip clubs.hahaha, jk. they r fresh as hell

2,515

Yup. Caliber SRT4. The "have your cake and eat it too" car. lol A car that can just break into the 13's shouldn't have 60/40 seats and get 30 mpg on the freeway. 413 ft-lbs. is very impressive. There are several street legal 600+ HP Neon SRT4s out there.

395

Dodge Neon? Really? But they're so...... boring. It's kinda like every man and his dog getting Nissan Primera's here in NZ. What are you gonna do with 600 horses and a Dodge Neon? Start a ranch?

2,515

The NSRT4s are not boring. They're a blast to drive and when they came out, they were the fastest car under $20K. Most of those guys running that high of HP are usually doing that thing called drag racing....

395

Fastest car under $20k, eh? They probably come with 'air conditioning' and 'anti-lock brakes' too, I suppose. I just think the Neon is a bit of a cop-out, you know? Cool cars are dangerous, uncompromising and really crappy to live with but you love them anyway. The Neon sounds like it has everything covered = boring

2,515

Dude, do some research. You're on the internet, use that fancy site called google. First off, the Neon isn't even manufactured anymore. The SRT4 came out in '03 and was $19,995. It ended in '06 to make way for the Caliber. It did come with A/C. Since you probably won't go search anything and keep spouting ignorance, here's a few links for you. http://www.allpar.com/reviews/2003/srt-4.html http://www.allpar.com/neon/neon-srt-4.html I'm not saying they're the best car ever built. I'm just trying to give you more information, because you honestly do not even know what you're talking about.

25

suzuki sj410 engine cos it is built like a brick and takes boost turning it from 45hp to 400hp from a 1L!! can push it to 7k, another is the 660cc suzuki SJ engine it redlines at 10K apparently!! was the Lancia Delta S4 a 4 banger??

200

hahah. yea, i bet its tons of fun to drive. yea we got a few quick nsrt4's in jerz. no 600 hp beasts though. hahah

200

actually it really was the fastest car for under 20k. and there pretty sick. im sorry wat can i saw we're americans we like a/c and power steerting and so does half the world.

395

The Delta was indeed a four cylinder, arguably the fastest group B rally car. It was also turbocharged AND supercharged giving somewhere around 600-650 horsepower. It weighed about as much as a boiled egg or something ridiculous. Another point of interest is that it set a time around an F1 circuit which would have qualified sixth in the Formula 1 that year!!!

395

Wow, I must've hit pretty close to the mark to get you all riled up like that. Ignorance? Some people don't even know what a Lancia Delta S4 is! I stand by what I said, I think the SRT4 is boring. It might be exciting or a blast to drive or whatever but it aint loud, it don't smell of gas, it's not dangerous and it probably has 150,000 trouble-free miles in it. It's entirely personality-free.

2,515

I know what a Lancia Delta S4 is. You didn't get me riled up, it's just a pet peeve of mine when people talk out of their ass.

200

im sorry for not knowin wat the lancia delta s4 is.but u dont need to smell gas or not have comforts like a/c or p/s for it to be fast. look at some super cars. the have a/c and p/s and their fast. if u like dangerous and fast and u like the smell of gas the buy a bike.

395

Gee, you're right. I really don't know what I'm on about. At all. Like, no idea. In fact, I think I dropped out of the sky with the last rain. But I'm not sure, I'm such a dumbass. What's rain again? Perhaps you can tell me what the fastest rain under $20k is?

2,515

I apologize for my comments, but all of your last posts sounded like you had no idea what a Neon SRT4 was, or what a Neon was.

65

W41 Quad 4. 2.3 liters, 185-190hp, 35+MPG, no egr from the factory, integrated ignition, and it looks bad ass. lopes at idle (.410" lift cams w/ 219 duration at .005") also see Achieva SCX...

200

how's the insurance on the csrt4. is it good, bad or descent. my gf is thinkin about geting one. :)

5,155

You cant really light the tires up in an awd car unless you have insane power to the wheels

5,155

to that guy who said neons are boring he is right they are boring little pieces of junk. They are womans cars and they start decaying at the 90k service lol Im sorry to who ever likes neon and the caliber but they are really horrible cars. horribly made and horrible looking. To many people drive peons srt4 they thing they are the man when they drive them......just buy a damn honda or something better off that way. I love your car by the way its tight except the gaudy green wheels dont fit it at all i would of gone with gunmetal but thats me and thats your car i give you props. whats it got for internals and mods to the body?

stock lip kit, tein springs, skunk2n exhaust. hondata kpro, skunk2 pro2 cams, hks headers, coin star plug wires (stwiched out the coil packs). and she's about to get the itb's put on later this week. along wit jic coils and lower sway bars and towers. green is my favorite color. but i gotta stwich it up now cuz it stands out way to much. so i just order some diffrent work wheels. but im keepin the mean greens

5,155

sounds like a sweet sweet setup. how much of a drop you put in and are you getting the fully adjustable shocks for that? i love the tein adjustble shocks not the electric so much they are pricey and heavier. whats its putting out for numbers? What work wheels are you looking at and what color? gold would look sick work is probably one the best rims you can get. Do you like the takata seats?

200

yea the fully adjustable one. that let u change the ride height and softness .(no homo) its 1.75 on the springs and when the coils go on later this week itll probly be about 2 all around. right now 275, just got bigger injectors and got my cyclinder head ported and im get 70mm itb's now. so itll probly put down300 to 350 fully tuned on kpro.i wanna get the workmeister s1 2p . i thought about gold but i dont know yet wat color i want. the takata seats are fat as hell. pretty comfy. took me a while to track some down but it was worth it.

5,155

that's definitely plenty of drop.with 350hp that thing will be crazy my friends integra had that on his first set up but he was craving more so he sent the block out to golden eagle and got a big grarrett turbo. I dont remember if it was a T45 or T47. obviously its boosted so what size turbo are you running in that? Im trying to save up for my next car but that wont happen for a long time lol that's what kids do to u but anyway i was looking at some gold gram lights when i was pricing out stuff they are sick. What tire do you proffer? I didnt have bad luck with the kumho ecsta supra those were decent for the price. My friend swears by the BFGoodrich Gforce's they are sick tires. The rsx is pretty dependable right just like all the other cars honda comes out with cause that's what one of the cars i was looking for was. I dont know anyone around here that runs a modded rsx just old integras are common.

200

im not runin forced induction. all motor for me. i run 70 mm indaviule(cant spell for shit)throttle bodies and a ported head wit a valve job and sick cams, and a sick ass hondata ecu, and i gnarley ass tune. its pretty sick for n/a. i run yokohama prada spec 2s for the summer and for winter yk520 and the stock wheels.I think its more rewarding being a father then ownin a fast ass car, watching ur kids grow up to do something great in the future. nothing can beat it. im not a father but thats wat i think. i also dont trust bfgoodrich. the rsx is a great car they hold their resale value, sucks if ur in the market for one. but great if ur selling one. the insurance aint bad if ur a good driver and dont have any tickets or anything. the only bad thing is it eats oil, so when ever i put gas in it i check the oil. before i went crazy i got pretty good gas mileage. performance wise the k20a2 is one of the best motors outta honda and the technolgy in the ecu is great. but parts arent cheap. :( but oh well. i really dont know how well the stock motor runs on boost but for n/a its great

16,755

Umm.... I mention the Caterham Superlight R500 earlier... 2.88s 0-60... Faster than the 3 seconds it takes the Atom And the 4.2pounds per hp beats the 4.7 of the upgraded Atom... It hasn't been on Speed Channel so no one here seems to know about it...

135

yeah thats why Im confused. Can u send me more specs on this so I can better understand how this car performs the way it does (e.g. hp, weight, torque maybe, drag coefficient if u can find it.)

16,755

Engine: 2.0-litre Caterham Powertrain (CPT) Ford Duratec Max Power (bhp/rpm) 263bhp @ 8500rpm Max Torque (lbs ft/rpm) 177 lbsft @ 7200rpm Weight 506kg (516kg sequential gearbox) 0-60mph 2.88 seconds Power-to-weight 520bhp-per-tonne 2.0-litre Caterham Motorsport Ford Duratec 6 Speed Caterham Gearbox Limited Slip Differential Superlight Suspension (wide track front and de Dion rear with Watts linkages) Carbon dash, nose cone, rear and front cycle wings ACES change-up lights Ventilated front brake discs with 4 pot calipers 13” Black Aluminium cast centre, spun aluminium rims, Avon CR500 tyres Carbon interchangeable wind deflector 4 point Harnesses Quick-release Momo Steering Wheel with integrated indicator switches Carbon Kevlar seats Close Ratio 6 Speed 1st: 2.69:1 2nd: 2.01:1 3rd: 1.59:1 4th: 1.32:1 5th: 1.13:1 6th 1.00:1 Final Drive: 3.62:1 Sequential 6 Speed 1st: 2.4:1 2nd: 1.84:1 3rd: 1.482:1 4th: 1.26:1 5th: 1.104:1 6th 1:1 I couldn't find much on the new drag coefficients, but they aren't great... in the .6-.7 range so it suffers at the top end, but it's built for track use so it never reaches top end... I saw an older Super7 at a SCCA event and it tore the competition apart... Hence my love for 'em because they MOVE.

135

I can tell u luv it. I wasnt even expecting all this but thanks neway. Id prefer the sequential version, those trannies r lighter n it allows for smaller ratios, which I like. By nechance do u no the end speed in each gear for both versions?
