0.9 bars (13.1 psi) for stock GTI (208 bhp), and 1.2 bars (17.4 psi) for Edition 30 (227 bhp) Golf R running on little moddified engine with k04 boost raised up to 1.5 bars (267 bhp). Maximum boost on stock engine internals for GTI / TSi version is 2 bars (~310 bhp). Golf R moddified engine can hold up ~350 bhp @ over 2 bars (29 psi) on stock internals. Problem are not engine internals or engine parts, it's about transsmision. DSG transsmision for GTI cant hold safetly more than 300 ft lbs or 408 Nm of torque.

The Stock DSG can handle way more than that. With just a clutch upgrade and a tune, that absolute max torque of the DQ250 6- Speed is 700 lb ft of torque, 650 is in the safe side. With just a Tune, they can handle 350 lb ft of torque like nothing.
