Any suggestions for a first time car?

Hello I am new to Car Gurus and looking for a
good first car. I like cars a lot but don’t know
to much about them I am willing to get my
hands dirty as long as it is something that is
not to pricey. I want a car that is fast but very
safe and has good gas mileage. I am open for
suggestions.

For a new driver and good first car, I always recommend a sedan. I will usually say a Toyota Camry or Corrolla, Honda Accord, Ford fusion or Taurus. You don't want to go fast just yet. Look at the VW Jettas if you don't mind tinkering a little more. The newer the better.
