1999 Malibu engine and transmission

Question type: Car Customization

So it is possible to put a 1999 Malibu engine and
transmission into a 2006 Impala. The reason I ask
this is because I already have both vehicles and
the engine and transmission are both dead in the
2006 Impala but in the 1999 Malibu the engine and
transmission are good but the problem with the
1999 Malibu is that the back axel is snapped in
have and is not repairable but everything else still
working

Not at all easy without major modifications. The 99 motor is pre OBD2 so it won't be compatible with your 06. It would also not pass an emissions test if you live in a state that requires those. A snapped axle on the other hand should not be that hard to fix, in fact you could replace that entire rear end a lot cheaper than the type of engine swap your contemplating. Rear ends are a dime a dozen in most salvage yards.
