Looking for the best budget friendly car to buy

Hi I have $5000 budget I know sad but times are tough, I need a reliable car
(not expensive to repair I don't have the extra funds)  to get me to work.  I work
health care and studying to Lab Tech so I need something reliable: I was
looking at the HONDA fit, Toyota Corolla, Yaris, Nissan Versa and Mini Copper?
Any suggestions ... Thanks :)

Scratch the Mini for starters. Of your list I would pick the Corolla.

It looks like the corolla may be the car I go with but I do like the honda fit . I will look into the mazda 3 thanks for the answers :)
