Does the buyer of a car listed on CarGurus pay any fees to CarGurus

No, only the seller pays a fee when and if their car sells. You will have to pay a sales tax, title, and registration fees, same as you would for buying any car. If a seller tries to stick you with additional fees you can always walk away.
