2004 ford crown Victoria winding over

my car just started winding over last night
and no one was in it and my key was in my
pocket . it don't have a keyless remote start.  
What could cause this ?

"Winding over"? Is that a term for cranking? If car is cranking randomly with no key, then you may have a bad/corroded ignition switch, or something is shorting across starter motor/solenoid.
