Is the alternator brand new or rebuilt? My Ford info says rebuilders have a tough time rebuilding ford alternators, correctly. It may charge fine, but, there might be a charge lamp on the dash, that comes on. Now, if you go to dealership and pay for a brand new expensive alternator, will it fix your problem? I don't know? I'd probably use a digital multimeter and check battery--battery connections--generator out-put--generator connections and applicable trouble codes. Even then, I may not find the problem?
