2004 hyundia senta fe what is the problem

2004 senta fe starts but when i put it into gear it shuts down what is the
problem?

Automatic transmission? If it is then chances are high that the torque converter has locked up. If it’s a standard transmission then you have wiring/computer issues.

Never own a Korean car after the five year warranty expires..... . If the engine dies when put into gear, transmission internal pressure leaks are causing forward & reverse pressures to offset each other and lock up the torque converter. If the engine dies soon after put into gear, it could be a defective alternator or a faulty MAP/MAF sensor in the intake.
