What causes front end pitching

when hit a pot hole @ 40 to 60 mph in my 1992 dodge ram 250, 4 wheel drive, front end pitches violently.  Hast new bushings in stabilizer bar, new shocks.

I suspect the alignment was compromised. have it checked at a local shop
