I have a 1996 Dodge ram 2500 4X4 with a 5.9 L (
360 ) 4 speed automatic and trying to find out what
transmission i have to get a build kit for it.

I have a 98 Dodge ram 2500 4x4 extend can with a 360 5.9 magnum what transmission do I have 46re or 47re

Here are a couple of charts. For the 1996 Dodge 2500 4x4 I believe you have a 46RE which is the same for 5.2 and 5.9 gas and on earlier trucks is called an A-518. http://www.autorepairmanuals.biz/page/371346 https://shiftritetransmissions.com/shop/1996-1999-46re-4x4-transmission-5-2l-5-9l-gas/ Hope this helps, Dale
