Transmission mess up?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

You notice how in the Durango you dont have to put te brakes on for you to change gears? Well, I think my transmission went.. I can change the gears and everything only the damn thing won't move! Its like it just stays in neutral.. so I'm hopig I don't need a new transmission.. I'm hoping its just a sensor or something.. has anyone ever had that happen?

sry sounds like its fubar! i can fix it for you for fairly cheap (as apposed to paying a tranny shop to do it). i just rebuilt 2 of them, it happens!

The only issue I have as of yet is that when I start it up cold in the morning, it takes days for it to go into drive......Frustrating.

Try checking your fluid..and b4 u pay for big tranny bill make sure your filter is good..might be as simple as in need of fluid change and filter change..be carefull shops wont tell u that they will say u will need a new tranny
