Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I ran it for about 20 minutes today. I tried to jump start another car
with a dead battery.  It over heated and almost reached the red line
heat mark on the gauge. What can be the cause of this? It sat in
storage from 2002 til a few weeks ago.

Thanks. It was low. I added a gallon of filtered water and it didn't get hot after I ran it. I will schedule flush with auto shop.
