Im cutting the tips off my exhaust will i lose power if i cut the pipe back to the muffler

I want my exhaust to be under the
truck not chrome tips i just eant to cut
the pipe back to the mufflers

The less pipe, the MORE power you will have- the bigger the diameter pipe the more power you will have- less back pressure- but if your exhaust exits UNDER the truck it will stay under there and seep into the cab, and you will be breathing it- because of the airflow, you want to get the CO away from your vehicle- and your lungs- that's why exhaust pipes extend beyond the body-
